Breads

Baguette  A cracker-like crust, with a dense, compact interior. It has a light, simple taste that will accompany all types of cuisine. Size: 24” and 6” loaves, epi, and rolls.  Uses: Perfect, all-purpose bread.

Breadsticks  Crisp, Hard or Soft-handmade breadsticks are a welcome addition to any table.  We offer classic sesame seed and aromatic herb. Size: 7” sticks. Uses: Anytime, anyplace. Garlic & Parmesan

Cracked Wheat  A unique style of wheat bread that is made with a bit of cracked wheat ,which gives this bread a slight crunch. Size: Deli loaves, 10” loaves and rolls. Uses: Complements all types of cuisine very well.

French Boule  Our bakers hand-form each ball of French dough to create a crunchy table loaf. Size: 5” diameter.

French Parisian  A thin, hard crust with a dense, compact interior. It has a light simple taste that will accompany all types of cuisine.  Size: 24” x 3”.

Herb Stirato Loaf  Our secret recipe is blended with fresh herbs to create an excellent demi loaf.  Size: 8 x 2”.

Marble Rye  Our bakers hand twist dark pumpernickel and light-colored rye to create an eye appealing and aromatic sandwich bread.  Size: Pullman and deli loaves. Uses: Deli-style sandwiches, ethnic menus.

Onion Bread  A buttery dough is mixed with fresh sweet onions to form a rich and aromatic bread. Size: Deli loaf and 4” buns.

Pane Jardinero  “Bread from the garden” – fresh carrots, plump juicy raisins and walnuts are combined with whole-wheat dough for a nutritious and tasty bread. Size: 10" loaf.

Pane Palermo  Our bakers blended Parmesan cheese, garlic essence and wheat as a tribute to this beautiful Sicilian city. Size: 10” loaf.

Pane Siceleano  A lost recipe was found from the island of Sicily to create this bread. Rye, herbs and Mediterranean olives make a stellar combination. Size: 10” loaf.

Pugliese  This country-style bread originates from the Apulia region of Italy. It is characterized by a chewy crust and flavorful, hearty interior. This bread is made with whole wheat, durum and high protein flours. Size:  10” loaf. Uses: Serve with seafood and rustic-style menus.

Pumpernickel  A dark aromatic bread with a dense interior that makes it an ideal choice for sandwiches. Available as a roll with golden raisins baked nside. Size: Pullman and deli loaves and rolls. Uses: Deli-style sandwiches, ethnic menus.

Rye  Authentic European light-colored rye bread with a dense interior and a true rye taste. Size: Deli loaves. Uses:  Deli-style sandwiches, ethnic menus.

Salute  Natural whole grain bread with a unique almost nutty taste that is attributed to the use of several organic grains including buckwheat, steel-cut oats, sweet flax seed, stone ground wheat, high protein flour and natural yeast. In a deli loaf, this bread makes a delicious deli-style sandwich. Size:  Pullman, deli loaves, 10” loaves and rolls. Uses: For high fiber, low cholesterol diets, serve with salads, light entrées.

Soft Bread  Superb bread for making submarine sandwiches, hoagie sandwiches and garlic toast. Size: Pullman, 36” loaf, 24” loaf and 8” loaf. Uses: Excellent for making all types of deli or regular style sandwiches. The Pullman can be ordered long slice to use in preparing canapés.

Sourdough  Crisp and crunchy crust with dense interior that has just a hint of acidity from the use of natural starter. Size: Deli loaves and rolls. Uses: American cuisine, sandwiches.

Sourdough Dill  Tangy sourdough and dill make a light and tasty combination. Size: Dinner roll.

Stirato  Classic Italian bread. This rustic looking bread is made with protein-enriched flour and has crisp and crunchy crusts, with a light airy interior. A Massimo exclusive. Size:  24” and 10” loaves and rolls. Uses:  Complements all types of cuisine.

Vienna Bun  Our bakers hand twist a rich dough into a knot to form a sesame gourmet sandwich bun.

Whole wheat and white pizza bases are baked fresh everyday at Massimo’s—The Italian Bakery.

Rolls

Butter Milk Rolls  A rich buttery crust with a soft chewy interior.  Excellent for canapés or steamship tables.
